FILMCLUB is a free national scheme which aims to engage and
inspire children through the world of film. All maintained schools
in England can join FILMCLUB and select free weekly films from
an extensive library of titles. As well as watching films in
after-school clubs, pupils are encouraged to discuss the films they
have watched and submit reviews to the FILMCLUB website. Films
available are from all over the world and range from recent
releases to the silent era.
FILMCLUB arranges seasons of films covering particular types of
film-making, or reflecting specific topics. The latest season is
Anti-Bullying
- ten films in which bulllying is a major theme. Films in this
season include Kes, Lord of the Flies, Edward Scissorhands, and
Charlie Chaplin's The Kid. To find out more about or to register
